Onitsuka Tiger x SEVENTYFIVE Lay-Up ’72 from Onitsuka Tiger on Vimeo.
Hattrick for the interviews, thanks to all three of these guys. You get a sense that this was a real collaborative effort, and I’m sure they had as much creating the sneaker as I had doing the interview. One thing I can’t forget is a special thank you to Ken-Tonio and Deniz for putting in overtime to make all of these pieces happen, there are many more to come.
Sneakers are available at SNS
Koi Koi – “Intense Love” x Onitsuka Tiger from Onitsuka Tiger on Vimeo.
Great interview that we did with Yoske of Koi Klub about the Koi Koi Lay-Up ’72′s which are now available online at SNS. Nice in depth look at the inspiration of the sneaker as well as his artistic inspiration in general. One thing about Yoske-san is that he is an artist in everything he does, and I think the interview brings across the humility, sincerity and creativity at the heart of his personality. The shoes are hot too.
TweetFriday evening and on into the night, Onitsuka Tiger and SEVENTYFIVE will be celebrating the release of our collaboration with SEVENTYFIVE, Amsterdam’s first real sneaker boutique. The shoe is a collaboration between Amsterdam-based MC/Designer Sef, SEVENTYFIVE founder Chris Noorda and our own Remko Nouws.
Keeping to the classic look of the Vulcanized shoe, they came up with a clean, off-white make up with blue piping and gold accented hardware. I think they came up with an incredibly clean and subtle piece that looks premium but could still be extremely wearable. A definite cop for me and I haven’t worn this type of silhouette since my college days.
The release event, which is sponsored by Bacardi, opens at 19.00 at the SEVENTYFIVE on Haarlemerdijk 55C in Amsterdam, followed by an after party at Bitterzoet. More photos of the shoe after the jump.
Just a peek, hopefully I don’t get killed/fired for this one. In response to Peel all will be revealed soon.
TweetI cautiously posted a sneak peek of these a few weeks ago, now here are the shoes in detail. Created in collaboration with Barcelona-based Retailer 24 Kilates, and wine skin maker Las Tres ZZZ in celebration of the San Fermin Festival in Pamplona Spain. The colourway is inspired by a traditional Spanish Bota Bag, and features a beige suede upper with red and white highlights throughout. To be released July 10th on the day of the Festival
TweetThe homies at Alife Rivington Club have unveiled their Pop-Up shop with English Sportswear brand Umbro. The store features some exclusive product from both brands celebrating the World Cup by creating exclusive kits dedicated to the 8 nations that have hoisted the cup, as well as some collaborative hard-goods, including a red whistle and some multi-coloured beer coolers for game day.
