The ASICS Europe team spent the week in Berlin for Fashion Week, where we not only appeared at the Bright and Bread and Butter Trade shows, but also gave a preview of our upcoming collaborations and high end collections at our now BiAnnual Family and Friends event. It was an incredible time, no shortage of meetings, but definitely no shortage of free alcohol. Thanks to Jack for the photos

Asics OG Colors – soon at Titolo from l'optiquetv on Vimeo.
Swiss retailer Titolo released this video to announce the arrival of our OG Pack in their stores. The pack features two sneakers a Gel Lyte Speed and a GT II both decked out in their original colourways of Black/Purple and French Blue/White-red respectively.
The video shot by L’Optique feature two parkour runners tearing up the streets of Berne with a dynamic series of stunts.
Pretty dope.
German Blog Art School Vets chose to feature our Sr. Manager of Product Marketing for Lifestyle in their Faces and Spaces feature series. Think MTV Cribs for cool people, with really dope photography instead of sped-up hallway sequences.
For those of you that don’t know who Kwon is, he’s one of the most important pieces in the ASICS/Onitsuka Tiger puzzle and has been behind some of the craziest sneakers of the last 10 years from the Adidas A-Z series and the recent drops we did with Slam Jam and Sneaker Freaker to the upcoming pieces we have with H**, P**** and H****.

Took some time away from blogging due to ESC Madness, unfortunately I didn’t have a good enough camera or enough waivers to collect anything meaningful from that event. Wanted to share some heat that recently found its way onto my feet. Unreleased pair of ASICS GT:II’s designed by apparel designer Shuhei Numata. It’s a shame these never saw the light of day, the pink to blue gradient makes them laid back and daring simultaneously, and the soft white suede gives them an air of class not often seen on a running silhouette. One of my favourite pairs which is why they’ve only been worn twice, and a true one of one which is why you’ve probably never seen a pair before.

Basically.
Next week ASICS Europe is having our biannual European Sales Conference at the Movenpick Hotel in Amsterdam. It’s my first one but I’m told there’s a lot of glad-handing and a lot of presentations. I’m going to be giving a few myself. I started out asking myself “what would Jobs do?” Then realised that I should aim lower.

TweetI’m sure Corporate Responsibility desk would love me to tell you that this was an ecofriendly sneaker coming out next year at Whole Foods locations world wide, but alas. French artist Djamel continued his series of cardboard sneakers with a makeup of our Gel Lyte III. The only materials he used to create the piece were regular crafts items and the ASICS box that the sneakers came in. More below
